Welcome back! We are getting ready to kick off a new CSC year with a full-day meeting! Just like last year, the event is free but you must sign up at September 14th registration. We also ask that if for some reason you realize you will not be able to attend, that you email Kelly at CreationSciClub@gmail.com to cancel your registration.
For our first meeting on September 14th, we will “visit” the Grand Canyon. We will take advantage of the extra hours to build a Biblical worldview by learning/reviewing the 7 C’s of history and connecting what we see in the Grand Canyon to the Bible’s true account of history. Through a variety of hands-on experiments and explorations, we will learn how the rock layers and formations, fossils, animal life, etc. at the Grand Canyon testify of an amazing Creator, the global Flood of Noah’s day, and the accuracy of the Genesis account. We will also build a foundation in some key geology concepts that will be built upon throughout the year.
Registration will begin at 9:00, and our meeting will be from 9:30 to 4:00. If you are not able to stay for the whole day, you are welcome to come and go for the parts you can attend, but please remember to always come in and sign your child in and out. Everyone needs to bring a SACK LUNCH.
High School (9th – 12th)
The high school class will be going on a field trip to Busiek State Forest. Registration will begin at 9:00. They will leave right at 9:30, so you will want to make sure you are signed in and ready before then. They will return to the church at 4:00. We are working on assuring enough transportation, so please register as soon as possible. The deadline for high school students to register is Thursday, September 12th. You can also help us in planning by letting us know if you plan to provide your own transportation by sending an email to CreationSciClub@gmail.com.
Participants need to bring a SACK LUNCH and dress appropriately for a day exploring the outdoors. If the weather is not favorable for an outdoor trip, they will visit the Creation Experience Museum (http://cmoto.org/) instead.
In order to attend the field trip, students need to have a permission slip signed by a parent or legal guardian. You can print the form from the link below, or it may be filled out at the church if the parent/legal guardian will be there that morning.
